From free backpacks and supplies to fresh hairstyles and hot meals, this day is all about dignity, joy, and support. We believe every child deserves to walk into their classroom feeling seen, celebrated, and ready — and this event makes that possible.
WHY THIS EVENT MATTERS
In Greensboro, many families face real financial challenges that make back-to-school season stressful instead of exciting. Some children arrive at school without basic supplies or fresh clothes — not because their families don’t care, but because resources are tight. The Back to School Bash exists to change that narrative. When a child walks into school with a new backpack, a fresh hairstyle, and a sense of pride, it does more than prepare them academically — it tells them they matter.
